26 Weeks

Well I have now made it 2/3 of the way through this pregnancy (maybe a little more if she comes as early as her brother)!  This last week was a bit crazy here as poor J ended up in the hospital for two days with a stomach thing.  He is doing just fine now but it was horrible to see him in so much and not to know what was going on.  Pregnancy wise the week was just fine.  I had my first appointment at my new doctor's office during which I only met the nurse but I got to hear Baby Girl's heartbeat so I was happy with it!  I will meet the doctor on Wednesday so I'm hoping I like him because I really don't want to have search around this far in to my pregnancy.  I'm starting to feel pretty settled in our new house as most things are in their new places.  I still have some more decorating to do but I'm happy with where things are!

By the end of the week things were much better!

I ended up having to switch out the coordinating fabrics for the nursery because when I saw the one I had picked in person, it had a very neon yellow stripe through it that just didn't work with my purple fabric at all.  Also, it looked like it was partly purple online but in person it was just grey.  The new fabrics change the color palette a little but I'm happy with what I found!
New accent fabrics to go with the purple one :)

26 Week Update:

How far along: 26 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Eggplant
Maternity clothes: Yeah I'm currently doing a combination of maternity clothes and maxi dresses.  It has been extremely hot and humid here for the last week and I was worried that I might deal with some swelling but so far I've been lucky.
Stretch marks: Nope! I got two tiny ones right at the end of my last pregnancy but they were already gone when I got pregnant this time so I'm hoping it will go as well this time :)
Belly button in or out: In.  It definitely looks very strange but it's definitely not out.
Sleep: Sleep was better this week!  G had 4 good nights (getting up once or less) and 3 that weren't so great but it wasn't nearly as bad as the two weeks before that.  I have had some back pain at night but it doesn't wake me up, fortunately.
Best moment this week: Getting to hear Baby Girl's heartbeat for the first time in over 6 weeks!  I have felt a ton of movement but its still nice to hear the heartbeat to confirm that she is doing well!
Worst moment this week: Having to take J to the hospital and see him in a ton of pain :(  I just thank God that he is okay and seems to be doing really well!
Miss anything: With the high heat and humidity here, I really would have enjoyed a pina colada or margarita this week but I drank a bunch of limaid to try to replace it :)
Movement: Baby Girl is on the move all the time.  She definitely switches positions more than G did but she hasn't been kicking my ribs like he did so I don't mind :)
Cravings: I'm still craving pretty much everything that is bad for me but I did pretty well at not giving in to my cravings.  I would really love to have a nice big ice cream sundae from Braums but so far I have resisted.
Symptoms: My back pain was worse this week and I'm still having some ligament pains but it's still been a very easy pregnancy so I'm grateful for that!
Looking forward to: Getting the curtain lining and minky fabric so that I can make curtains and a crib blanket.  Also, I'm excited/ nervous to meet my new doctor this week.

25 Weeks

25 Weekk Bump

Baby Girl has now made it to 25 weeks this pregnancy and we are starting to realize just how soon she will be coming!  With only a little over 3 months left before her arrival, I am starting to feel a little stressed about getting her nursery decorated.  I was really hoping to buy bedding this time instead of making my own but I just couldn't find exactly what I wanted.  The big problem is that I prefer purple over pink for nursery decor and there just aren't that many purple choices.  I have seen so many sets that would be perfect if only I could switch out the pink parts for purple. Because of this, I ordered fabric this week and once it gets here I will spend G's naps trying to get blankets, crib skirts, curtains and pillows sewn before the arrival of our little lady.

How far along: 25 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Eggplant
Maternity clothes: Yeah I'm currently doing a combination of maternity clothes and maxi dresses.  I still have some non maternity shirts that I wear but they are starting to get a bit short in the front.
Stretch marks: Nope! None yet but there is still a way to go.
Belly button in or out: In.  I don't think it will pop anytime soon.  With G it never actually popped so maybe I'll be able to avoid that again!
Sleep: Grayson had another tooth pop through this week so sleep hasn't been great.  The poor kiddo went from no teeth to three teeth in the course of two weeks :(
Best moment this week: Going to Target in Oklahoma City! I am already missing my once or twice a week Target runs but it wasn't too hard to make the drive so I figure I will drive there every 2-3 weeks for now.  Target is my happy place and the one thing missing from Enid that made me sad about this move.  Also, making fabric decisions so that I can get started on Baby Girl's nursery was a huge, huge relief :)
Worst moment this week: lack of sleep!  Hopefully poor G will have a better week this week.
Miss anything: Wing Stop!  This was my biggest craving during my last pregnancy and I would absolutely love to get my hands on it now but unfortunately there aren't any here in Oklahoma.  This is probably going to help me in the weight gain area though so at least there is that!
Movement: Lots of movement all over. I'm hoping for a little gymnast and she seems to really love tumbling!
Cravings: Queso, chocolate, ice cream, french fries, chicken fingers, wings- if it's unhealthy I probably want to eat it!  I was able to get really good queso this week because there was a Qdoba right next to Target :)
Symptoms: I had some back pain and ligament pain this week but nothing too bad!
Looking forward to: Starting some sewing projects and finishing up the last of our unpacking in the new house.

24 Weeks!

The last few weeks have been pretty crazy around here with a move, a week in Arizona, celebrating Grayson's first birthday, two weeks in Utah, and then flying to Oklahoma and moving in to our new house and trying to get unpacked.  I'm so grateful that we were able to get moved before I got too big because it has already been a big challenge just moving with a one year old.  If I was having a hard time bending over it would make the whole process a whole lot more difficult!

24 Week Update:

How far along: 24 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Maternity clothes: Yeah I'm currently doing a combination of maternity clothes and maxi dresses.  I'm loving dresses in this Oklahoma heat!
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: In.  It seems to still have some room to go before I'm in danger of it popping out :)
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty rough for the last week but not because of the pregnancy- poor Grayson has been super restless and has popped two teeth in the last few days.  I'm hoping that over the next few days we can get back into our regular sleep schedule.
Best moment this week: Baby wise it was feeling her kicking all the time and being able to see her move while laying on my back in bed.  Also, Grayson started walking this week so that was pretty exciting around here :)
Worst moment this week: not getting more than two consecutive hours of sleep over the last few days.
Miss anything: A good pina colada would be very refreshing in this Oklahoma heat.  I have been drinking a lot of limaid from Braums and Sonic which are good enough!
Movement: Lots of movement all over. She is definitely a wiggle worm!
Cravings: Anything fried sounds amazing but I'm not giving in to that one since I don't want to get huge!  Also, I'd rather not give that much junk food to my sweet girl.
Symptoms: Nope!  No nausea or heartburn for me :) I'm starting to feel a little big but that's my only real "symptom" at this point.
Looking forward to: Starting to plan the nursery now that we are finally in our new house!

Grayson is 1!

Grayson is now officially one!  We celebrated in Scottsdale a few days before his birthday and then G and I flew up to see my family while J drove to Oklahoma on his actual birthday.  We were sad not to be with J on G's actual birthday but he started his new job on the 23rd so he had to drive from Arizona to Oklahoma.  We did a small family party in Sandy and then we sent J a ton of pictures so that he didn't miss out!

Since we were in the middle of a move, I kept both of his parties pretty simple. First came the party in Scottsdale with J's family and a few others.  I ordered some cute printables from Etsy to make his birthday banner and some little high chair decorations and we blew up some balloons for him to play with.  I made a simple dinner and some cupcakes.  G got to try his first cupcake and he was very hesitant at first which was funny because he eats pretty much everything.  He ended up digging in and making a pretty good mess by the end :)  He was spoiled with some cute presents and got to soak up a lot of attention so he had a good time!  G is currently obsessed with walking while holding on to someone's fingers (anyone will do as long as they will go with him) and he found that he had a lot of people willing to help him out at his party.  We had a good time and we appreciate everyone who came!  Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures with his grandparents or uncles but we loved having them there!

Opening presents- he loves books!

More presents- daddy got him this Elmo :)

My best friend Jessie and her boyfriend came up to celebrate!

G and I flew in to Salt Lake at 11 pm the night before his birthday because we were soaking up as much time with daddy as possible before a two week separation.  The next day was his birthday and we had a nice very laid back day.  With three of my siblings, my parents and my grandma there, he had all the attention he could have asked for :)  Since we had just flown in the night before, I just got a Nothing Bundt Cake with a bundtlet (basically a cupcake) for G to enjoy.  I think he preferred the bakery cake over the homemade cupcakes from his Scottsdale party because he definitely dug in and made a much bigger mess!  It was so cute and we were so grateful to be able to celebrate with family!

Ready for round 2 of cake!

He went straight for the frosting on the candle!

Love my boy!

Yummy, yummy!

At 1 year G:
-is about 23 lbs.  Since we are in the middle of a move he hasn't had his one year appointment yet but he is a chunk!
-is too hard to measure to see how tall he is.  He seems to be taller than most other kids his same age.
-wears size 12 months
-is OBSESSED with walking everywhere but he is still too nervous to go anywhere without our hands.  He is very good at tricking people into taking his hands (he will come up and grab your hand like he wants to hold it and then flip himself around and reach up for your other hand) and once he gets you up he will walk everywhere.  He could definitely go on his own but he is too nervous.  As soon as he gets his confidence we are in trouble!
-will slowly squat down and lower himself to the floor with complete control if you let go of his hands while he is standing or walking.
-is in to everything he can get his hands on!  If it isn't nailed down, he will do his best to discover what it is and how far he can throw it.
-LOVES Elmo.  He doesn't get to watch much tv but during the move we turned on Sesame Street a few times so that we could work on packing and he really zoned in on Elmo.
-LOVES the pool and anything with water!  He likes to splash and float in his little raft.  Even when J dunked him, he never cried.  He just sort of came up sputtering.  I'm glad that we seem to have a little fish :)
-has really fat feet that make it hard to buy shoes.  They are adorable but very chunky.
-loves to eat most anything.  He really seems to enjoy strawberries, blueberries, avocados, mac and cheese, quesadillas, yogurt and chicken.
-likes to play with balls, cars, books, blocks and Elmo.
-likes to chase dogs around even though they are usually too fast for him.  He will follow behind them saying "gog, gog, gog, gog".
-still doesn't have any teeth
-is an absolute joy in our home and the best baby that we could ask for!  We are so grateful to have this little blessing here with us.  The last year has been the best of our lives!
