34 Weeks

34 Weeks
I am so excited to be getting down to the end of this pregnancy!  Each week that gets checked off makes more and more excited to meet our Sweet Girl!  This last week we were able to spend a lot of time together as a family which was great because starting next weekend J will be doing a 40 day project at work that will keep him there for late nights and weekends.  I'm not sure how G is going to do without his daily daddy time.  He absolutely lights up when J gets home every night and it is so cute!
These two melt my heart!
On the nursery front, this last week I finally got the curtain sewn!  I still have to attach the tabs to hang it by but the panel is now sewn which means that all of my big nursery projects are complete!  I was also able to go to a consignment sale where I got a bassinet to put Baby Girl in when she is hanging out with G and me in the family room.  I really needed to find something to put her in that was high enough that G wouldn't be able to reach in and hurt his sister.  We are working with him on the concept of being gentle but he just doesn't get it quite yet so I'm happy to have a place to set her that he can't get in to.  When I brought it home, G immediately climbed in to the basket on the bottom of the bassinet and has continued to do so every day :)

34 Week Update:

How far along: 34 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Pineapple
Maternity clothes: Yes, I'm wearing a combination of maternity clothes and stretchy dresses.
Stretch marks: None yet!
Belly button in or out: In but SO stretched out.
Sleep: Sleep was so much better this week!  I bought a sound machine with a night light for the nursery and G seems to be sleeping much better.  Hopefully sleeping through the night will continue!
Best moment this week: I started nesting a bit and got all of Baby Girls clothes washed and organized by size.  I also got my suitcase mostly packed for just in case and it was fun to do that because it means she will be here so soon!
Worst moment this week: Just the persisting back pain.
Miss anything: Having a waist!  I can't wait to fit in to most of my wardrobe again soon!
Movement: This Little Lady is constantly moving!  My belly is so stretched out that you can really see her moving around now.
Cravings: Chick- fil- a Lemonade.  I bought a whole gallon of it this week so that I could have it any time I wanted :)
Symptoms: Back pain is still my worst symptom.  I have had just a little bit of swelling mostly at night but it's not bad at all.
Labor Signs: Just lots of Braxton Hicks contractions!
Looking forward to: Having an ultrasound at my doctor's appointment this afternoon to check for position!  It's been a long time since I have been able to see this Little Lady!

33 Weeks

33 Weeks
We are starting to get close to meeting our little girl and I can't wait!  I'm soaking up my last weeks with just G but I'm also anxious to meet this little lady!  I picked up a few more frames and some jars to store Baby Girl's headbands in but I didn't get around to the curtains yet.  My goal this week is to get them sewn so that everything is ready to go.
This is why I can't get anything done!  That sweet little face is too distracting :)

This last week we had J's parents here for a few days.  It was fun to have visitors and G had a great time with his grandparents!  We went to the children's museum here in Enid which is small but was surprisingly fun.  They had a few animatronic dinosaurs that would react when you got close to them.  G was pretty unsure of them at first but he seemed to like them by the end.  G seemed to find his Grandpa M to be particularly hilarious and they spent a lot of time playing together which was very cute :)

33 Week Update:

How far along: 33 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Honeydew
Maternity clothes: Oh yes.  We finally got some cooler weather this weekend which was great so I was able to wear my maternity jeans which opened up a few more options.
Stretch marks: No none that I have seen, thank goodness!
Belly button in or out: looking very, very strange but it hasn't popped out yet.
Sleep: G seems to really be regressing sleep wise lately.  I'm not sure if it's more teething or if he senses that change is coming but we have had several rough nights this past week.  It's also taking me longer to fall back asleep because it is really hard to get comfortable right now.  I guess this is good prep for when Baby Girl gets here.
Best moment this week: watching G have so much fun at the children's museum :)  Also, I got a manicure and pedicure and the massage chair was awesome for my back!
Worst moment this week: It was a pretty good week so the only complaint I had was about G having such a hard time falling back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle of the night.
Miss anything: Being able to move, sleep and get around without any aches or pain.  This pregnancy has been a lot harder on my body than the last one was but I'm still grateful it's just some aches and pains and nothing worse!
Movement: All the time.  She really likes to move a lot when I am trying to go to sleep. She seems to be very sharply jabbing me pretty frequently.
Cravings: Anything with chocolate or things that are deep fried.
Symptoms: Back and tailbone pain that is pretty strong.  General achiness.  Lots of Braxton Hicks contractions.  I still don't have any heartburn, swelling or leg cramps so I'm still happy.
Looking forward to: Spending a nice weekend with our family of three before Baby Girl gets here!

32 Weeks

32 Weeks
32 weeks means that I am now 80% of the way through this pregnancy!  I am simultaneously very excited to meet this baby girl and be finished being pregnant and also very nervous about having two kids so young to take care of.  Right now the excitement is mostly winning out.

I finally got around to sewing all of the pillows and the crib skirt for Baby Girl's nursery and I also picked up several other decor items.  I'm excited to put it all together soon!  I still need to sew the curtain and once we 100% settle on a name I'm going to order a monogram to go over the crib but I'm feeling pretty good about the progress of the nursery.
20, 24, 28, and 32 week bump

32 Week Pregnancy Update:

How far along: 32 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: large jicama
Maternity clothes: Yes and I am so ready to be out of them!
Stretch marks: None so far!
Belly button in or out: sort of in but very stretched.
Sleep: Poor G popped his 8th tooth in two months so we had a few rough nights but overall it was pretty good.  Definitely more trips to the bathroom than before since Baby Girl is totally squishing my bladder.
Best moment this week: going to MOPS and getting to meet more women in the area with small kids.  It's hard when you move to find a new group of friends which can be a little lonely so I'm grateful to find a place to socialize!
Worst moment this week: Still the back pain and now my tailbone hurts frequently too.  I'm very lucky that that is the worst thing happening to me :)
Miss anything: Being able to paint my toenails.  I am usually too cheap to pay for pedicures but I'm going to have to get one this weekend because I tried to paint my own toenails and they are a mess.  I can still reach my feet but the angle just doesn't work anymore.
Movement: Baby Girl has been very active.  She is definitely a busy little lady!
Cravings: I would desperately love to eat some Wing Stop cajun wings and fries.
Symptoms: Back and tailbone pain that is pretty intense.  I cannot wait to get Baby Girl here and have the pressure on my back relieved.  Working out helps a little bit but not as much as I was hoping.  I feel like a turtle on it's back when I try to get up.
Looking forward to: My doctor's appointment this afternoon.  Also, seeing G with his grandparents this weekend.  He loves having visitors!

31 Weeks

31 Weeks
We are now officially under two months until Baby Girl's due date!  I cannot wait to get her here!  This last week was great because we had my mom visiting from Monday-Friday and then we got a nice three day weekend with J home.  I was so grateful that my mom was able to come out!  She said she just couldn't wait until Baby Girl got here to see G so she booked a last minute trip and we had so much fun with her!

G is absolutely in love with his grandma and he spent a lot of time just being silly with her.  I had planned on trying to get a bunch of sewing done while she was here but I was enjoying hanging out and talking to her so much that I didn't really get any projects done.  I did, however, get to go to a doctor appointment without having to take G which was much easier.  Everything is still looking great with  Baby Girl and it's always fun to hear her heartbeat!  My mom also watched G so that J and I could have a date night which was great!  Date nights have been few and far between since G got here and I'm betting that that will only get worse once we have two kids so we take advantage whenever my mom offers to babysit.  While she was here we did some shopping (I got two Target trips in since we had to go to the city to pick her up and drop her off at the airport!), found a new cute restaurant that was pretty good, watched G do some pretty adorable things, and got in a lot of mother/ daughter bonding time.  We can't wait to see her again when Baby Girl gets here!

Between grandma, a package from my best friend J and an Old Navy sale, both kids got a ton of fun new stuff!

We spent Labor Day weekend enjoying family time, meeting some fun neighbors, hanging out in our blow up pool and taking G over to one of J's coworkers home so that he could see some cows (yes we now live in a place where people have cows as pets).  G loved the cows and had a good time wandering around their property.

31 Week Update:

How far along: 31 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Head of Lettuce
Maternity clothes: Definitely!  I am still mostly sticking to dresses because they are the coolest option and our temperatures here are still in the upper 90's with humidity.
Stretch marks: None so far!
Belly button in or out: Hanging on but it looks very weird.
Sleep: Sleep was overall pretty good.  We had one bad night with G but for the most part I only had to get up to use the bathroom once a night.
Best moment this week: Having my mom here!
Worst moment this week: I had a pretty good week but the back pain was probably the worst part.
Miss anything: Fitting in to my whole wardrobe!  I am definitely ready not to be pregnant any more.  I feel like I just wear the same few things over and over because I don't fit in to so many of my clothes.  I also miss being able to put my shoes on without extra effort, picking up G without it hurting my back, being able to get things off the floor with ease and just generally not aching.
Movement: She moves all the time.  This week she started doing a thing that feels like she is taking her elbow and scraping it across my rib cage which is a weird and uncomfortable feeling.
Cravings: My mom made us some awesome crepes while she was here and now I'm craving more of them :)
Symptoms: Back pain (by far the worst part for me), Braxton Hicks contractions, just enough swelling to make my wedding band a little uncomfortable.  I am still wearing my engagement ring with no problems but my double band that wraps around it makes it tighter so that has been taken off probably until Baby Girl gets here.  Honestly, with the humidity here I am just happy that it hasn't been worse than that!
Looking forward to: Starting MOPS this week!  I am very excited for a place to meet other young moms!
