I am now officially down to three months until my due date! I am excited and a little terrified at the same time. Life with two kids 16 months and under is going to be a huge adjustment but its one that I'm getting ready to take on! This past week I had my first appointment with my new doctor and I'm very happy with him. With G I didn't actually get to choose my doctor because with military insurance they just assigned me to someone. I got lucky and ended up liking my doctor but she was definitely overworked and only had time for very quick appointments. This appointment felt more personal and I appreciated that he had actually had time to read my file before I got there. I feel better now that that is crossed off my list of things to do before Baby Girl makes her appearance.
This last weekend we decided to buy an inflatable pool for our backyard so that we could enjoy some family time in the sun and I'm so glad that we did! The water felt great on my back and it was so much fun to watch G splash around! We had a whole bunch of water toys in the pool but all that he wanted to play with was J's empty beer bottle. Kids are so funny with what they find to be good toys :)
As far as the nursery projects go, I didn't get much done because I'm still waiting on all of my backing fabrics to arrive. I miss having JoAnn's ten minutes away to pick up things like that. I did manage to pick out a rug which I was excited about. The floors in the nursery are hardwood so I definitely want to have a good soft rug for Baby Girl to play on.
27 Week Update
How far along: 27 Weeks
Gender: Girl
Baby is the size of a: Cucumber
Maternity clothes: Most definitely. Stretchy dresses still work but other than that I'm stuck in maternity clothes until this baby arrives.
Stretch marks: None so far!
Belly button in or out: In. It's stretching out further by the day but still holding on with some room to spare.
Sleep: We had one bad night with G this week but other than that he seemed to do better so I got a lot more sleep than the last few weeks. My back is pretty sore but it just makes it hard to fall asleep initially, it didn't wake me up in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: Spending time with my family in our inflatable pool :) The water was relaxing and it is so much fun to watch G in the pool! Also, I got a bunch of fun packages from friends with baby girl stuff which is so much fun!
Worst moment this week: Dealing with back pain. I hardly exercised at all during my second trimester due to traveling, moving, and trying to get settled and I think that might be why I'm having so much pain this early in the pregnancy. I started doing yoga and pilates this last week and I plan on working out at least four times a week for the remainder of my pregnancy to try to strengthen my back muscles and core. Of course it could also be because I didn't have any time to recover from my last pregnancy before this one and I now have a 23 pound chunk that I carry around all the time.
Miss anything: I'm missing my pre pregnancy body. After spending the majority of the last two years being pregnant I'm ready to get fit again!
Movement: So much movement! She is definitely more active than her brother was and she seems to like to tumble more than just jabbing me.
Cravings: Cafe Rio, Beach Break, Wing Stop. Also peaches! They are really good here right now so I have been enjoying lots of peaches!
Symptoms: A lot of back pain but other than that I'm still doing pretty well. No swelling or heartburn or anything else like that so I'm still happy.
Looking forward to: Making progress on the nursery and I also plan on picking up a going home from the hospital outfit for Baby Girl this week :)

only 3 months! It seems to be going by so fast! I can't wait to see how the nursery turns out! And i love the rug! Where is it from?
